Music fans, and lots of women, are ecstatic about the news that country music superstar Luke Bryan will close out his Farm Tour 2015 with an outdoor concert in Cook County.
The concert is scheduled for Oct. 10 at M.J. Taylor Farms, 2080 M.J. Taylor Road, Adel. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, July 10, on Bryan’s website, www.lukebryan.com. The fan club presale began Monday.
M.J. Taylor Farms is about two miles down M.J. Taylor Road, just off of Exit 37 in Adel. The concert location will be directly across from the farm office/shop.
The event is expected to have a mammoth economic impact; Bryan’s prior Farm Tour concerts have drawn crowds of 20,000 to 30,000, if not more, according to local officials. Visitors to the community will be eating at local restaurants, finding lodging in local motels, shopping at local stores, and buying gas at local stations.
Born in Leesburg, Bryan began his musical career in the mid-2000s as a song writer for Travis Tritt and Billy Currington. Bryan has released five albums so far, “I’ll Stay Me” (2007-09); “Doin’ My Thing” (2009-11);“Tailgates & Tanlines” (2011-13); “Crash My Party” (2013- 15); and “Kill the Lights” (2015-present). Bryan sang several singles that went to No. 1 or neared the top on the country music charts, including “Rain Is a Good Thing,” “Someone Else Calling You Baby,” “Country Girl (Shake It for Me),” “I Don’t Want This Night to End,” “Drunk On You,” “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye,” “Crash My Party,” and “That’s My Kind of Night.” Bryan is the only (current/modern) country artists to release an album of six No. 1 singles on both the Mediabase Country chart and Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
Bryan has appeared on the TV show “Celebrity Apprentice.” He was the recipient of the Academy of Country Music Awards’ and Country Music Association Awards’ “Entertainer of the Year” award.
