Formation
The Adel-Cook County Chamber of Commerce received its charter in 1958. It is a private, not-for-profit organization for businesses, civic groups, non-profit organizations and community-minded people dedicated to supporting and improving the economic environment of Adel, Cecil, Lenox, Sparks and greater Cook County. The Adel-Cook Chamber fosters growth, prosperity, and leadership through developing and enhancing business, education, youth and senior programs, and cultural initiatives.
Function
To act as spokesman for the business and professional community in Cook County by translating into action the group thinking of its members and to effectively render specific services to its members and the community as a whole.
