Wiregrass Georgia Technical College - Committed to Industry Growth and Prosperity
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is another strong partner with Cook County. The nation's fastest growing public two-year college, Wiregrass Technical College houses the Wiregrass Workforce Development Center right here in Cook County. Wiregrass students are trained in a vast array of fields and disciplines required in today's industries.
Wiregrass curriculum standards have been developed with the direct involvement of business and industry. These standards serve as the industry-validated specifications for each occupational program. As proof of the strength of Wiregrass programs, if an employer finds that a graduate of Wiregrass is deficient in one or more competencies as defined in the standards, the college will retrain the employee at no instructional cost to the employee, or the employer, for a period of up to 2 years after graduation.
