Ready for college and careers.
Excellently appointed facilities are just the beginning of the Cook County story. It’s also the commitment to standards and accountability that puts our schools ahead: in 2013, Cook County High School earned the top score out of the 17 schools in the Coastal Plains Region on the Georgia Department of Education’s College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). In addition to the region’s top CCRPI, Cook County’s high school graduation rate is 9% above state average.
Top scoring on every field.
Naturally, reaching this level of quality requires support at the middle school, elementary and primary level, where solid foundations are made. And at all levels, twenty-first century curricula and strategic instructional support are key to achievement, while extracurricular activities remain a vibrant and valued part of school life. Cook County students score on athletic fields and in the classroom, engaging in all forms of the arts. And while they “walk the stage” on graduation night in higher percentages, they’re also ready for the world stage of economic competition, with the knowledge and skills to excel in any field.
