The Adel-Cook County Chamber of Commerce’s first Showcase Cook brought several exhibitors and the public together on Thursday afternoon, March 17, at Delle Beamguard Community Center’s social hall.
Showcase Cook provided an opportunity for everyone interested to discover the businesses in Cook County. The event allowed businesses, organizations, and the public to interact with one another.
The 2016 Showcase Cook sponsors were Adel Outfitters, All Day Sun Tanning & Beauty, Badcock Home Furniture & More, the Cook County Economic Development Commission, Cook County Welding & Machine, Credit Card Processing Queen, Delle Beamguard Center, Ellis Brothers Pecans, Micro Chem Company, Quick Consulting & Business Services, Sheriff Doug Hanks and staff, South Georgia Strong, South Georgia Staffing, String Theory Music, Tifton Tech Works, Blue Tassel, Witherspoon Nursery, and Bounce N Slide.
The Showcase Cook exhibitors were Adel-Cook Chamber, Adel News Tribune, All Day Sun, Amedisys Home Health, Behavioral Health Services, Betts Environmental, Bounce N Slide, Boys andGirls Club of the Greater Cook County Area, C & M Parking Lot Sweepers, Cook County EDC, Cook County Farm Bureau, Cook County Welding & Machine, Cook Medical Center, Credit Card Processing Queen, Edward Jones, Family Vision Care, Happiness in Health/Livevantage, Horse Creek Winery & Bistro, KCM Construction, LongBridge Farms, Mary Kay, Micro Chem Company, Quick Consulting & Business Services, Sheriff Doug Hanks and staff, South Georgia Graphics, South Georgia Staffing, String Theory Music, Suncrest Home Health, Sylvia Barr Center, The Citizens Bank, Watford Steel Buildings, Watson’s Pools & Patios, Whitehead Industrial Hardware, Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, and Talk 92.1 FM.
People from the public filled special cards provided upon entry to the event with a star from each exhibitor. They were then eligible to win a $200 gift basket from Ellis Brothers Pecans during a drawing.
Chamber President/CEO Jerry Connell estimated that about 150 people from the public not associated with the exhibitors visited Showcase Cook. He and Chamber officials were scheduled to meet later this week and decide - most likely - to make Showcase Cook an annual event in helping citizens become more aware about the range of exciting products and services available in this community.
