A Pizza Hut restaurant is tentatively scheduled to open in Adel on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
The business plans to hold an open house job fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 29, at Hampton Inn in Adel. Pizza Hut has hired the management staff for its Adel location and hopes to soon bring its full team of employees aboard, said District Manager Andrew B. Harper.
Pizza Hut is always looking to grow to more communities, Harper said. “We thought Adel was a great family town and we wanted to be a part of that family.”
The Adel restaurant is located at 702-A W. Fourth St., Adel (next to Piggly Wiggly). The business will offer carry out food items and will deliver to local customers. Workers were inside the building and equipping it last week. The business hours will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
“This store is part of Pizza Hut’s new re-imaging,” with improvements in the design, lobby, and signage, Harper said.
Pizza Hut of Adel will be among 45 stores operated in Pizza Hut’s Savannah region, which includes restaurants in northeast, southeast, and southwest Georgia and southern South Carolina.
Two college-aged brothers who borrowed $600 from their mom founded Pizza Hut on May 31, 1958, in Wichita, Kansas. From those modest beginnings, Pizza Hut has grown to become the largest pizza company in the world.
Pizza Hut is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands Inc., one of the world’s largest restaurant companies. Yum! Brands, a Fortune 500 publicly traded company, also operates Taco Bell and KFC.
